Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
Researchers from 17 different countries looked into the genes of 300,000 different people. They were looking into the genes to evaluate thoughts and feelings and how this relates to to the quality of our lives. The researchers call this subjective well-being. They found 2 genes that were different for depression and 11 genes that were different for neuroticism. Next to be studied, is how this genetic variation could be related to the environment. This includes a great deal of different things. Like how much food was consumed or how the child was cared for by the family.
This is the biggest study so far. It will be exciting too see what else they come up with. LENS neurofeedback can change the way that you interact with the world, even if it is in your genes.
