Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
The Navy Seals have one of the hardest trainings in the world. They used to have a drop out rate of 76%. Then they hired a man named Eric Potterat a Master Psychologist. He cam up with 4 Habits to get them through the training, and they kept 50% of the trainees.
Habit #1 Focus on Right Now. This is short term goal setting. Just finish what is right in front of you. Not tomorrow, I am focusing on things like getting the laundry done, Then going over to do the dishes. I am focusing on one client at a time. Not how much I have to do the rest of the day. Habit #2 Imagine How Good it will feel. Go through past successes. This helps you to focus on how to feel good about yourself. It feels good to be making progress. How good it feels to be almost done. Break down the task into small steps. Notice that it feels good. I got that part done now what else. Habit #3 When all else fails Breathe Deeply. The Navy Seals learn to breathe to increase their brain power which is already high. It goes like this, 6 seconds in and a 2 second hold, then 6 seconds out. Do this 2 times a day. Habit #4, you Cheer yourself on,, You can do this, you can get through this. This isn't about being reasonable this is about being successful. Try to integrate these into your day and find success. I like that!!
