At the development of the brain starts just 3 weeks after conception and at 8 weeks the basic brain structures are all ready in place.  During infancy we have an incredible amount of development in the brain.  We have 250,000 brain cells forming per minute and 1.8 million connections are formed per second.  (Hold on to your seats, this amount of activity could get us to the moon and back in a quick minute  That amount of activity will not be recreated through the rest of our lives.  However, through the rest of our lives we do keep forming myelin sheaths, this helps with neuron connectivity, also called white matter.
In infants and children the majority of the myelin is formed in the sensory and motor cortex.  The myelin has then completed it's work by the time that the child is 4 years old.  Some of this myelin growth continues in the language, thinking and reasoning areas.
A researcher by the name of Fred Gage found that the adult human brain can regenerate neurons in the hippocampus (where we store memories).  Some other research has found that we can also grow neurons in the cerebellum.  This is called neurogenesis.

LENS neurofeedback can improve the brain connectivity.  It helps to restore the brain and clears out the areas that are compromised.
