Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
When we lack a good sound base of core values, then we tend to follow the trends. We jump on the bandwagon of whatever anger or outrage is on the web. Here is a little information about anger. Anger is addictive, yes. it is like the guy that is looking for the next drink or hit. Anger overrides the rational and moral responses, it originates from the limbic or lizard brain. The lizard brain responds automatically, it is connected to our fight, flight or freeze responses. It responds automatically and controls the adrenaline responses. This provides a rush and is fueled by the anger or outrage response. This in turn gives us an unhappy high, but we keep trying to reproduce this high. This is the addictive response, that is produced internally.
We, as a society, are getting less tolerant of dangerous behavior, the #MeToo is a representative of this theme. I am not saying that these issues should not be investigated. We need to be able to step back and learn the art of reasoned debate. We need to be able to engage in disagreements with our reasoning powers, which engages our prefrontal cortex. Moderation needs to be understood as something that is not bland or tasteless. We need to be able to understand that not all people will think like us, open the door. Our best responses happen when we are not upset and less intent on proving just one side of the question. Shall we take a look at the bigger picture and what is for the greater good? Anger has health risks. These risks can include heart disease, eating disorders, car accidents and mental health problems. LENS neurofeedback can help the brain to relax and defrag. This allows the higher functioning areas to start working in a smoother way.

I live in an area where there was a gold rush, many people seeking gold. Shall we pause for a little while and look into what could be a gold mine for yourself.
Looking into and researching what your core values are can create a strong foundation. We all remember the story of the three pigs. Our character is defined by our values. And these core values are the result of your behavior. Here is a quote by Aristotle, "Men acquire a particular quality by constantly acting in a particular way". An example would be to tell the truth, always. An honest person is what we become. This is simple, yet we tend to underestimate the value of core values. Values impact our inner world, they form the foundation of our character. And this in turn creates value for yourself, the person that we must love the most. If we have a high quality of character then it is reflected in our environment. So this is an important thing to do. Research your OWN core values. If you don't then you will try to take on others values and your foundation becomes weak and washes into the sea. Create your own identity, don't lean on others for yourself. LENS neurofeedback is a good way of becoming more discerning. We become more aware of our environment and understand our interactions better. Here is an idea about how to get the children to understand what they are asked to do without having to raise the voice and get the emotions activated. An example would be writing a note to a child that can read, that has left their backpack on the floor, for the hundredth time. Dear (name), I do not like to lay on the floor, would you please hang me up so I will not get stepped on? Thank-you.
If the amygdala is activated, with a command, then the child goes into fight or flight mode. Their emotions are activated and well the results are usually the same. If the child is given a note then the prefrontal cortex gets engaged, they have to read and then get the action done. This could be expanded into having a board where chores are written down. It is best to not use too many words, short directions, pointing to the clock, homework, dishes, etc. See if it works. LENS neurofeedback is good for the brain. It is noninvasive and can help children to have a higher functioning ability. It will smooth out the brain and make the brain function on a good level. Depression is a very common situation with people. It is different from sadness and grief, which are the right way to respond to negative experiences. Depression lasts for 2 weeks or more. It is characterized by a loss of interest in what you used to love, there can be a disruption in sleep and eating, with feelings of despair and worthlessness. It has a continuing influence and can be unrelenting, unable to find positivity. The depressed brain shows an over active amygdalae, decreased activity in the prefrontal cortex, sensory processing issues in the thalamus, And a reduction in dopamine. If the depression is on going it can create damage in the brain.
30% of college students report having been so depressed that they where having a hard time with functioning. And 7.5 % say that they have considered suicide. This is a real problem, and it sits on our door, waiting to be recognized. Please help me to get help to these people. LENS neurofeedback can help to heal the brain, it creates more flexibility. The world will look like a better place soon. Here are some characteristics of mentally strong people. They pursue their visions in the face of all overwhelming obstacles. They accept challenges that stand in their way and don't let these obstacles diminish their drive and dedication. May people fail for years before seeing any measure of success.
Much of what keeps mentally strong people moving forward is good mental habits. To begin with you need to create a healthy environment. Get up early and don't hit the snooze button. So that means that you get to bed early and don't stay for those extra cocktails. Do not lay in bed and ruminate about your past failures or what so and so did to block your way. Stand back up and face the next task and get it done, even if you don't like it. Do not take things personally, get past it. Know that there is no automatic success. Set a plan and stick to it. Don't let the negative haters get you down. You don't have to come from a great background or be extremely intelligent, just the forward drive will get you there.....> Luck may seem to stay away for awhile but she will show her hand when there is continuing effort. Don't give up. Everything is energy and that is all that there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy This is physics. Albert Einstein. LENS neurofeedback can help to keep the balance in the brain. Keep up the good work, you will win. We constantly try to extract meaning from the world around us. For scientists, they are constantly trying to understand nature and extract it's meanings from the pieces that lies beneath the surface and how it functions.
We can look at one word and if you can read and understand it and the meaning associated with it, then that adds a level of purpose to this existence. The human mind will project meaning into an image, sound or smell. The image can be an abstract painting. We all automatically, subconsciously extract meaning from our different senses and usually come up with the same meaning. At least it can be comparable fashion. We keep looking for meaning in a self-obsessed way, as if we are looking into the mirror. This is an article from neurosciencenews.com, if you are obsessed with needing more information. LENS neurfeedback is a good way to improve the function of the brain so we can understand in a good way. Here are some quotes from some good insightful poets.
Rainer Maria Rilke in his book about, Love and Other Difficulties, states: "I hold this to be the highest task of a bond between two people: that each should stand guard over the solitude of the other." Kahlil Gibran states that, "Love one another but make not a bond of love: let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls". This is a big challenge in our lives, we have a great longing for intimacy and independence. One part, like a magnet pulls towards intimacy and then the other part, that can fracture a heart, pulls us in the other direction towards independence. This is a difficult act, to guard the solitude of the other person in our life as if it was at the verge of life and death. We crave, die over and over to this part of life until we can cast off and can still be attached on some level. Shall we all practice being kites? LENS can help to keep the brain balanced and wired to the highest level. Give it a try. Shall we look into what intent is all about? It is who we aspire to be as individuals and members of our community, which includes family and workplace and our wider community of this planet. What are the root qualities in our life that we are perusing? Some examples could include love, connection, joy and a sense of purpose. Intent is our deepest desires. This can include our emotional and spiritual yearnings that we ask for when we are honest and authentic. Even though authentically wanting some new clothes or a video game is part of the game. We can look a little deeper and find that these are really goals. Goals are task oriented and come from the mind and have an end result. Intentions are emotional and come from the soul.
LENS neurofeedback is good at getting to the root of ourselves, it clears out the debris. |
