Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
Exercise is one of the best ways to increase the optimum capacity of the brain. Exercise causes the nerve cells to multiply, it strengthens the interconnections and protects them from damage. During exercise, the nerve cells release proteins known as neurotrophic factor (BDNF). These proteins then trigger chemicals that promote neural health benefits which increase cognitive functions that leads to better learning and greater blood flow and decreased risk of stroke. A 2010 study in Neuroscience revealed that regular exercise improved blood flow, but also helped primates to learn twice as fast. There have also been studies that show that exercise boosts mitochondria that increase the energy within the cells.
LENS neurofeedback also improves the brain function. It will help you to reach an optimum functioning, so that will help you get off the couch and not get those extra pounds that come with the holidays. It can help to to tolerate the stress better.

Steven Pinker who is a Cognitive Psychologist at Harvard, wrote a book called "Enlightenment Now". His thesis, in this book, is that life on earth is improving. Some of the subjects that he covers, in the book, include; personal safety, longevity, economic security, and happiness. He has found data that supports the fact that we are better off then at the start of the Enlightenment in the 17th century.
He began this research when he ran into data that violence has declined. An example, is that the homicide rate in England has declined 50 percent since the 14th century. His data states that there has been progress with poverty, illiteracy and access to simple luxuries such as beer and televisions. There has been a marked improvement in the education environment, that includes the education of girls. He states that the Enlightenment worked, and has improved our well-being with reason and science. He does acknowledge that we can backslide into irrationality. However, we know when we are being unreasonable. Science is part of the enlightenment, the life expectancy has risen from 30 to 70 and 80 in the wealthy countries. This is information that is backed by data. LENS neurofeedback can help to improve the brains internal environment. It can create calm and awareness. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Melody Beattie
'Thank you' is the best prayer that anyone could say. I say that one a lot. Thank you expresses extreme gratitude, humility, understanding. Alice Walker Recently, I have found some new friends. I am not one to gather a bunch of friends. I am reserved, quiet, sometimes childish, love books and knowledge. I enjoy having dinner with friends and good conversation. So to find a friend becomes a very special gift. They have become very supportive of my business and have sent their loved ones to be healed by this system that I have. I am so grateful for them in my life, thank-you for being by my side. They grace it with wisdom, caring and concern. They help to fill the gaps that I keep falling into. They keep me floating in this river of life. Thank-you for continuing to come to my website. I enjoy what I do and I hope that at sometime in the future you will come to find the healing that LENS can provide. I hope that your Thanksgiving is filled with the little things that bring us great blessings. Dana If you would like to have a little fun, go to the NPR website. There is a song about what happens when we fall in love. It explains the different neuro-chemical reactions with the love drug and has the same title as this article.
We know that love is complicated. There is no specific love chemical that surges through our bodies when we fall in love. Scientists have measured real changes in our bodies when we do fall in love. In the early phase, sex hormones , like testosterone fuel the libido (in both men and women), Dopamine highs (that can be compared to cocaine use) are created with the attraction. Anxiety that is linked to romance is linked to low levels of serotonin. This has been compared to obsessive-complusive disorder. Meanwhile, our brains start producing more oxytocin, which is also important for the bonding of mother and infants. We have a very complicated chemical dance going on in our bodies all of the time. This chemical dance can create the feeling that love is all consuming and addictive. LENS neurofeedback helps balance the brain. It does help to create a more relaxed, smoother feeling. The results from a study are in. The conclusions were written up October 2018. This study found that male rats exposed to high level of radio frequency radiation (RFR) developed cancerous heart tumors, and some evidence of cancer in the brain and adrenal glands. These rats received exposure to their whole bodies. Most people are exposed to specific tissues close to their bodies. The rats were exposed to higher levels and longer durations that what people experience, four times higher than the maximum power level permitted.
However, there is some evidence that brain tumors in high cell phone users has occurred on the side of the head where the cell phone has been held. There is also evidence that if the cell phone is left next to the skin, in a shirt pocket or inside of a bra, this exposure can lead to cancerous tissue. This information was taken from the website peperperspective.com. LENS neurofeedback can not kept cancer from forming. It can help with the effects of chemotherapy. Come by after a treatment to keep the brain clear. Patients awaiting surgery for severe epilepsy where asked to keep a log of their mood for a week before the surgery. They were connected to tiny wires to monitor the electrical activity in their brains for a week before their surgery. This revealed the same circuit for sadness in 13 of the 21 people. Some of the previous brain research has found that emotions are related to the amydala and hippocampus. This gives the researchers hope that they will be able to find help for people that have a problem with depression. This study was conducted at the University of California at San Francisco.
LENS neurofeedback works with the neurons in the brain to create a more balanced, higher functioning brain. I helps with any kind of emotional or physical trauma. Give it a try. I have a meetup on Tuesday's between 5 and 7 at 224 E. Willamette, Colorado Springs CO. Come by and give it a try. President Obama introduced the brain initiative and the White House has been helping to develop brain research through the National Institute of Health. This is a multi-million dollar initiative. Here are some important things that have come to the surface.
The brain can be affected by the gut, via the vagus nerve. The research has included a link between autism, anxiety and depression and how these problems are linked to the microbiome in the intestines. The researchers have also discovered direct brain to brain communication. They researched two subjects, a half of a mile away from each other. One subject was the sender and the other was the receiver. Using the internet, a video game and transcranial magnetic stimulation the sender was able to command the hand of the receiver to fire when needed. Researchers have also been able to grow Alzheimer cells to try and figure out how this disease progresses. In the meantime, how about getting your brain working in an optimal way. LENS defrags the brain of any inflexible areas and creates better flexibility. It can help with any physical or emotional trauma. NAC is an amino acid that can be found in natural food stores. I found an article published in Psychology Today about this product. It has become an interest in the neuroscience researcher field. Many studies, including neuro-imaging, with many disorders including depression, bipolar disorder, OCD, PTSD, schizophrenia, addiction, eating disorders, Alzheimer's disease. NAC also has anti-inflammatory uses. Clinical trials have been promising in many but not all disorders. It seems to help with ruminations, with difficult extreme negative self-thoughts. NAC doesn't always work, but when it does, troubling, irrational thoughts gradually decrease in intensity and frequency, they can even fade away. If they do continue than they can be observed from more of a distance and seem less distressing, with less worry and fear. This information was taken from and article by David J. Hellerstein M.D. a psychiatrist.
LENS neurofeedback can help in much the same way as this anti-inflammatory NAC. LENS helps the brain to release all of the inflexible areas, to leave behind the good working neurons. It is anti-inflammatory also. |
