Here we go into the holidays and what happens when there is so much going on. We get anxious. Anxiety is part of the human condition and we need to understand that it is an energy that we can become aware of. If your unable to function in this world please contact your doctor. We learn to recognize the different ways that anxiety can appear in our life. If we have too much anxiety then we try to orchestrate every thing in our life. We can become mistrustful and suspicious. We can be scared of inadequacy and failure. We do not like being insignificant or taken advantage of. We expect respect and admiration, we become frustrated easily and question the motives of others. If we have too little anxiety, then the world looks like a different place. We stick our heads in the sand. We do not take risks and live in a bubble. We become too idealistic and cautious. We detach from change. So what can good anxiety look like? We have enough tension to drive forward, without resistance. We want to keep trying without giving up or trying to control what happens. We can be comfortable with being uncomfortable. LENS neurofeedback can help with the feelings of being overwhelmed. It helps to create a smooth functioning emotional life.
