Here is some research that I found about LOVE.
Stress can cause about 90% of illnesses. The cortisol gets in our systems with the elevated thoughts of AHHHH!!!! and off we go.
So here are some simple things to do."
There is a theory of love languages by Gary Chapman. Some people like different things to be presented to them by their partner. One of these things is to spend quality time together. Most of the men that have been researched like physical touch (or sex). And then other people like words of affirmation. Personally I like all of the above.
There are some other researchers that have found other ways of feeling loved. Many people like words of compassion in difficult times. And high on the list was a child snuggling with you or the happiness of a pet when you come home. And then just saying the words, "I love you". These are simple things that we need to enjoy when life is handing us all of the stressors these days.
