Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
Scientists at several Universities are researching the response to stress. They took 3 groups, one group was told to write about a stressful situation. The 2nd group was asked to write about another subject and the third group was the control group. All of the groups were tested for cortisol (stress hormone) with saliva. The 2 groups that were being tested were given a new stressful task. Writing about the stressful task helped the individuals stress hormone to look similar to the control group that was not put to the new stressful task.
The conclusion reached was that writing and critically thinking about past failures can help improve the individuals both physically and cognitively for new challenges. LENS neurofeedback can help the person to see with better clarity the stressful situations that are bound to occur. I recommend that people write about these experiences to help them clarify what they are going through.
