Much of the literature about autism states how a person with autism interacts with the world..  Often they will be very intelligent, especially with ausbergers or ASD.  Many have a difficult time with social interactions.  They can be repetitive with their behaviors or speech.  Some can have a hard time with keeping eye contact.  Their bodies can be rigid and clumsy.  They have a difficult time with understanding emotions, but can be very emotional.  At times their emotions can be out of control, they have a hard time soothing themselves.  They can find it hard to be touched.
Researchers are looking into how this effects the brain.  There is a belief that the neurons have a inflammation problem.  Also the problems can be related to a seizure disorder, up to 40% of the population.  There can also be a heavy metal burden on the system.  This is a complicated problem and can lead to multiple behaviors.
LENS neurofeedback can help the brain to heal and calm down.  LENS works as an anti-inflammatory in the brain tissue.   Working with children that have this problem is one of my goals.  LENS can work effectively and quickly with the development of the child's brain.
