Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.

Let's take a look at the amygdala again...

The amygdala is also responsible for the split-second evaluation of trustworthiness.  Some of the factors involved in this reflexive action with social interaction are what we call voice porsody, resonance, and facial expressions.  Voice porsody is related to the timing, phrasing, emphasis and intonation of words in a conversation.  Think about how we speak to babies to make them laugh or to soothe them when they are upset.  Resonance is related to the vibration of the voice, either high or low, varied, tense or relaxed.  Think of Morgan Freeman's voice, low and varied, he creates trust with those around him and on the screen.  And facial expressions, are interrelated to what the heart is expressing.  If we are genuinely happy, then we have a genuine smile.  If there is tension in the room, we usually express this with our eyebrows furrowed and looking down.  Learning to be conscious of these facial expressions can dramatically change a tense situation to a calm one.
LENS neurofeedback can create a better response to the environment.  It helps to keep the brain calm and responsive to environmental changes.
