Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
A new study from the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) shows that those who suffer from persistent depression lasting more that 10 years have higher levels of neuroinflammation. Greater inflammation is a common response with degenerative brain diseases as they progress, diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's also show greater neuroinflammation. Although the correlation is not proven, if depression persists inflammation can become a problem. The researchers used a PET scan to measure the brain's immune cells, called microglia. They compared brain scans between people with no depression, short term and long term depression. The people with longer term depression showed a 30% increase in inflammation.
LENS neurofeeback works to decrease the amount of inflammation in the brain. It defrags the brain to help it function at an increased level. Give it a try.
