Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
Personality is generally agreed to be a group of behavioral characteristics typically exhibited by an individual.
Let's look into some of the factors that would be marked in the brain. One characteristic is extroversion. Extroverts have reduced activity in the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex, anterior cingulate cortex and thalamus. These are areas of the brain that keep the brain aroused, they need more external stimulus. Socially secure people have a stronger response to friendly people in the striatum. This is an area of the brain that lights up with reward, shy people do not have as much of this reward system. People who avoid social interactions (autism) have a stronger reaction in the amygdala. The stratum and the hippocampus are activated when someone is introduced to a new situation. For some this is a pleasurable response. Cooperative people have increased activity in the area of the brain called the insula, when they think that their treatment is unfair. Uncooperative people do not register the same response, suggesting that they have an underdeveloped sense of trust. LENS neurofeedback helps the brain to balance out and reconnect in a good way. The treatments are noninvasive, gentle, inexpensive and effective.
