Come to the calm of a well functioning brain.
..Depression is prevalent... Here are some of the symptoms, Feelings of severe despondency and dejection...inadequacy, guilt, lack of energy..... disturbance
of appetite...sleep...unhappiness....sadness,,,melancholy..... melancholia...misery...sorrow...woe....gloom..despondency, low-spirits, a heavy heart, despair, desolation, hopelessness, upset, tearfullness...the dumps...the blues...a funk...a blue funk...dysthymia...seasonal affective disorder (SAD). That is all for now. Let us find a way out or in.... Welcome and attend them all! Even if they're a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of it's furniture, still, treat each guest honorably. He may be clearing you out for some new delight. The dark thought, the shame the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in. Rumi LENS neurofeedback resets the brain to a calmer, healthier environment. We can work it out....

The endocrine system sends a cascade of chemical messengers called hormones that flood through our blood system. We have about 50 different hormones in our system. There are 2 categories of hormones, peptides (protein) and steroids (fatty). Steroids are produced only by the adrenals and the reproductive systems, peptides do the rest of the work. These little wonders keep the metabolism working from moment to moment and regulate growth (which the nervous system plays no role). They are busy pumping weights while we are napping.
The pituitary gland sits under the brain and secretes hormones that control most of the endocrine glands. And there is also the hypothalamus (also under the brain) that works to coordinate the endocrine and nervous system. While the nervous system works as the telegraph system, the hormones send out chemical messengers that fit into specific sites in the body. LENS helps to support the brain and the central nervous system to work correctly. When the systems are balanced, then the functions increase to work in harmony. Shall we start singing now? Call soon 719-930-8732 According to the American Society of Clinical Oncology some of the side effects of chemotherapy (depending on the drug) includes nerve damage, loss of balance, difficulty walking, hearing impairment, trembling, vision problems and general clumsiness.
Also some of the effects that lead to "chemo-brain" can lead to cognitive difficulties that result from changes in thinking and memory. This can lead to appetite loss which leads to muscle loss, which leads to reduction of muscle mass. There can also be damage to the reproductive system. LENS neurofeedback can help with the symptoms of the chemotherapy and lead to a reduction of the brain fog that happens. Call to schedule an appointment after your treatment so we can soften the impact. 719-930-8732 Ah Romance.. We all crave it! It can become an obsession.... What happens when we are attracted? There are visual cues, generally speaking. Men like breasts and round hips, they signal the ability to carry children. Women love those broad shoulders and strong arms that can keep that lion away. Women like that strong voice, it signals more testosterone. Men love that sexy voice. Some of the tactile cues are in the kiss. Men carry testosterone in their saliva. That can activate the testosterone in the women. Testosterone carries the arousal and trip wires the rest of the system. Oh, that yummy smell. Those are the pheromones taking over.
There are 3 of the brain structures that work in this mix. One of them is the ventral tegmental that is located in the lower region of the brain and is the region that produces dopamine. This is that feel good substance that can create the, "I want to do it again". It also gets fired up with other addictions. The next area to be influenced is the nucleus accumbens and likes to ride along with the thrill. It gets in the grove with producing serotonin and oxytocin. Serotonin helps with mental health and oxytocin is what is created with new moms. Men get to enjoy this ride because it is activated in them when their partner gets pregnant. The last brain structure that gets involved is the caudate nuclei. This structure helps to keep the momentum going because it is in charge of memory. And we don't want to loose those memories. LENS neurofeedback helps the brain to function at a high level. It keeps all of the structures working in harmony. Oh Yeah!!! Researchers at Duke University are studying how the brain structures interact. They are finding the brain structures that interact in a pattern can indicate depression. The mice were put into an environment that was stressful, with a bigger more aggressive mouse. They were left in this environment for 10 days. The mice started exhibiting the same kind of symptoms that a human does, anxiety, social avoidance, and difficulty sleeping. One of the researchers measured the brain in 7 different regions, including the prefrontal cortex, amygdala and the hippocampus. They found that the less resilient mice exhibited different patterns both before and after a stressful event. They also found that some of the mice where more resilient to the stressors. Many scientists believe that depression and other psychological problems are driven by changes at the brain network level. Many people are working in an environment that is stressful and unsupported. This can create damage to the different brain structures, the longer standing the worse the condition. Depression can become a bigger problem.
LENS neurofeedback will create that right environment in the brain so that it can heal from any past stressful events, either emotional or physical. Call soon! No this is not an X rated post... Researchers at the University of Columbia have learned how to get mice to react to musical notes to release the feel good neurotransmitter dopamine into their brains (anyone want to volunteer?). The researchers are learning how the mice can repeat the pleasurable experience. If mice can learn this process and we can see how the pattern is created, then we can learn how this is implicated in the human brain. They are learning how the patterns are shaped and how this can lead to not so pleasurable experiences that can lead to addictions and OCD. These pleasurable experiences have hijacked the brain. There is a law in psychology that states that positive reinforcement will lead to actions that are repeated. This is called Thorndikes Law.
LENS neurofeedback can help the brain to reset itself and have the right functioning pattern. This brain pattern is then a pleasure in itself. Much ado about nothing.... How do we create a positive self image and have self-acceptance. Much of how we base our self image comes from our acquaintances, social media and society. The advertisements that we see have images of people that have been air brushed and filtered. So when we do compare ourselves to others we are not comparing ourselves with a realistic image. There is a big problem with this comparison and eating disorders. Comparing is natural. Even if there are parts of our body that we don't like, rarely is anyone's body perfect.
So finding our own self worth is worth it. What kind of activities do you enjoy doing with yourself or with others. Taking time to have a good conversation with someone you love is a good example. What is unique and good about who you are? Find it accent it, learn to love the most important person around you, yourself. Practice treating and accepting yourself better. That person that you admire is you, and others will respond. Be positive and you will attract the same. LENS neurofeedback is good for creating a calm, accepting and caring attitude. Come and try a good therapy for advanced health. Have you had a significant bump to the head? Recent research is finding that concussions and other TBI's (traumatic brain injuries) can increase the risk for Alzheimer's disease in later life. UT Southwestern Peter O"Donnell Jr. Brain Institute conducted an autopsy study on 2100 cases. Their conclusion with the study, is that a TBI that occurred with a loss of consciousness greater than 5 minutes can lead to a diagnosis of dementia 2 1/2 years earlier than cases with no TBI.
Some TBI's can accelerate the onset of Alzheimer's by 9 years. Some doctors and researchers point to the inflammation that occurs after TBI's. This inflammation can set the stage for later neurodegenerative diseases. There are also other factors such as genetics, unknown triggers or risk factors that need to be taken into consideration. Researchers are also looking into the role of TBI's and depression. Long term studies are being conducted with athletes, these could take up to 60 or 70 years to come to a conclusion. LENS neurofeedback can correct the neurological problems in the brain. Why wait to see what happens. I worked in a care facility for dementia. This is not an easy way to go, for yourself or your family. A new study from the Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) shows that those who suffer from persistent depression lasting more that 10 years have higher levels of neuroinflammation. Greater inflammation is a common response with degenerative brain diseases as they progress, diseases such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's also show greater neuroinflammation. Although the correlation is not proven, if depression persists inflammation can become a problem. The researchers used a PET scan to measure the brain's immune cells, called microglia. They compared brain scans between people with no depression, short term and long term depression. The people with longer term depression showed a 30% increase in inflammation.
LENS neurofeeback works to decrease the amount of inflammation in the brain. It defrags the brain to help it function at an increased level. Give it a try. |
